Railroad Crossing. . .

without any cars - remember that from childhood?! These railroad crossing blocks had been languishing in the armoire for several years - originally intended for a larger quilt, but when I started trying to assess what I might put together quickly for Dr. Kaufman, I decided to make two quilts instead. I had to unstitch some of the cornerstones as I didn't have enough of the red print that I was originally using to finish both tops. So I changed out red squares for green in one of the tops, except for the very center square. Unsewing is not my favorite pastime, so I figured I could get by with leaving the red square in the very center, since it pulled the border colors.
