If at first you don't succeed. . . .

Keep trying! Every couple of years, my friend Iris comes to visit and we make a run to the nursery to buy plants for my porch. She plants my window boxes and a few other pots of things here and there for my porch. Then she goes home, and ultimately they mostly all die of neglect from me. This year, I'm trying to do better about remembering to water them, mist them, etc. We'll see how long I can make them last. We bought the flowering cactus at the Desert Botanical Garden on a trip there while she was here - isn't it beautiful? A green thumb, I don't have so we'll see. . . .
